How can we help you?
We believe that communication is vital to good dental care. It’s common for people to have lots of questions about dentistry, and we welcome those questions. Whether you are wondering about dental care in general or our office specifically, give us a call or drop us a line via our convenient online form (please see our Contact Page), and we’ll help you out.
We’ve also collected several of the questions that we hear the most often right here on our website. Take a look and see if your question is answered here. If your question isn’t listed or if you’d like more information, go ahead and let us know!
Implant Dentistry
Dental Implants are artificial tooth roots made from titanium. They are placed surgically in the bone and after given time to integrate with the bone, can be used for a variety of purposes. Implants can replace a single tooth, hold bridges, anchor a denture to prevent it from shifting, or even replace all the teeth in an arch with a single prosthesis.
Inman Aligner
Invisalign is a series of very low profile, clear aligners that are worn all day. Invisalign is used to move all the teeth in the mouth and typically takes anywhere from 6-15 months to complete. Inman Aligner is a larger appliance, more comparable to a retainer, that is worn about 16 hours a day to move the front teeth. Typical Inman aligner cases take anywhere from 6-12 weeks to complete. In summary, the Inman Aligner is used exclusively to straighten front teeth, but does not have to be worn the entire day and gets results quickly. Inman Aligner also costs less than Invisalign.
The Inman Aligner is a removable orthodontic appliance that is used to align crowded, crooked front teeth.
That depends on whether or not your specific policy has an adult orthodontic benefit. Our office manager Stefanie can look at your policy with you in order to find out.
Periodontal Treatment & Preventative Care
At your first appointment, our goal is to get to know you and get to know your teeth. We will take any necessary x-rays and provide a thorough examination of your teeth and the surrounding tissues. We will also take a few pictures and go over everything with you so that you have a complete understanding of the current health of your mouth.
If we determine that treatment is needed, we will provide you with all of your options and answer any questions you have about them. At Summercrest Dental, you are always a partner in your dental health.
Finally, if you need a cleaning, our skilled and gentle dental hygienist, Janelle, will be happy to provide this!

We accept children of all ages, but for most little ones, the average age of the first visit is between three and five years old. By this point, the baby teeth have all grown in, and we’ll have a clear picture of how dental development is progressing. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns before your child reaches this age, go ahead and give us a call!
